Dell Launches Sleek New Inspiron Laptops – Arriving in Malaysia This Month
April 13, 2021 Andrew Cheng

Enter Dell’s brand new Inspiron laptops. Built from the ground up, these redesigned laptops are notably sleeker than their respective predecessors. They have minimal screen bezels now, more expansive keyboards, as well as bigger touchpads, which effectively make them better productivity laptops.

The new Inspiron series consists of four different laptops: the Inspiron 14, Inspiron 14 2-in-1, Inspiron 15, as well as the Inspiron 16 Plus. Naturally, these Inspiron laptops use either Intel’s latest 11th generation processors or AMD’s Ryzen 5000 U-series chips.

Out of the four laptops, the Inspiron 15 and Inspiron 16 Plus are the higher-end offerings. Both can be configured with Nvidia’s dedicated GPUs – the Malaysian market will receive the RTX 3050 (that’s right, an unannounced GPU) configurations of the two machines – as well as Intel’s 11th generation H-series processors.

Aside from that, the Inspiron 16 Plus also has a 16-inch 3072 x 1920 screen with a 16:10 aspect ratio. According to Dell, the tall aspect ratio increases the active area of the screen by 11% while only “expanding the dimensions of the device by 5%.” We imagine the minimal bezels of the screen contribute to the more compact dimensions of the laptop as well.

The Dell Inspiron 14, Inspiron 14 2-in-1, as well as the Inspiron 15 will be arriving in Malaysia sometime this month. The Inspiron 15 and Inspiron 16 Plus with RTX 3050 GPUs, on the other hand, will be available here in early June 2021.
