Perodua Ativa Received Almost 15,000 Bookings – 4,345 Units Delivered, Best-Selling SUV in March 2021
April 1, 2021 Andrew Cheng

Perodua just released its sales figures for March 2021, and it was an exciting month for the carmaker. Not only has the Perodua Ativa received 14,574 bookings to date, over 4,345 units of the new model were delivered last month, making it Malaysia’s best-selling SUV in March 2021.

In fact, it’s worth noting that this figure actually surpassed Perodua’s delivery target of 3,000 units every month for the Ativa. Without a doubt Perodua is fulfilling consumer demand for the SUV in a very quick manner, and at this rate, we wouldn’t be surprised if the carmaker can fulfill the 10,000 outstanding bookings in only a couple of months.

According to Perodua, the range-topping AV trim of the Ativa is the most popular choice, making up 67% of total bookings. It’s no surprise the AV is the model Malaysians are going for, given that it is the only variant to get level 2 autonomous driving. It’s equipped with Lane Keep Control, Blind Spot Monitor, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Adaptive Cruise Control.

But regardless of which model you go for, all three variants of the Ativa (AV, H, and X) are equipped with the same 1.0L turbocharged three-cylinder engine that outputs 98PS and 140Nm of torque. Paired with a CVT gearbox, the Ativa has an impressive rated fuel efficiency of 18.9km/l.

Priced from RM61,500 to RM72,000, the Perodua Ativa is really quite an affordable SUV packed with attractive features. Hopefully, the carmaker will be able to fulfill outstanding Ativa bookings before the sales tax exemption expires at the end of June 2021 – come July 2021, the Ativa will cost more.
