The 2021 Proton Iriz facelift has been spotted in the wild yet again. This time around, it’s the crossover version of the B-segment model, and it’s the first time we’ve seen one with an orange paint job. On top of that, we also get some shots of the interior, revealing a dual tone design.
These close-up images of the crossover-styled Iriz – evident by the roof rails – were taken by a reader of Funtasticko in Rompin, Pahang. Looking at the orange colourway of the car, it looks very similar to the Citric Orange paint of the Proton X50, which was previously rumoured (alongside the Passion Red colour option) to be available on the 2021 Iriz.
Aside from that, the grille of the Iriz facelift has been reworked as well. In fact, it now looks very similar to the Infinite Weave grille of the Proton X50 and Proton X70. With this in mind, there’s a very good chance the new, circular Proton logo will be used on the 2021 Iriz too.
Beyond the exterior, we also get some images of the facelifted Iriz’s interior. Although the shots are not particularly clear, we can see that the car’s interior is now sporting a dual tone black and red colour scheme. The rear passenger seat gets a bright red seat belt as well.
According to Funtasticko, mass production of the 2021 Proton Iriz facelift – as well as the Persona facelift – is set to begin very, very soon. Rest assured, we will keep a close eye on the development of the new Iriz and Persona.
