Samsung Galaxy A72, A52 & A32 Official – Affordable Mid-Rangers With 90Hz AMOLED Screen
March 17, 2021 Andrew Cheng

Samsung just unveiled a slew of new Galaxy A smartphones, including the Galaxy A72, the Galaxy A52, as well as the most affordable device in the series, the Galaxy A32. Unlike the Korean company’s previous mid-rangers, these new Galaxy A smartphones have a pretty interesting feature set, including AMOLED displays with a fast 90Hz refresh rate.

Let’s start with the most interesting device of the bunch, the Galaxy A72. Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G chipset, the A72 naturally sports the most sophisticated camera system. Its quad camera setup is made up of a 64MP f/1.8 primary sensor, a 12MP f/2.2 ultra-wide angle shooter, an 8MP f/2.4 telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and a 5MP f/2.4 macro sensor.

Other specifications of the Galaxy A72 include a 6.7-inch 1080p Super AMOLED screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, a 32MP selfie camera, 8GB of RAM, 256GB of expandable storage, a generous 5,000mAh battery, and an IP67 rating.

And then there’s the Galaxy A52. It shares many of the A72’s hardware, including the same processor, RAM and storage capacities, as well as camera configuration, though it swaps out the 8MP telephoto lens for a 5MP f/2.4 depth sensor. Aside from that, the A52 also has a slightly smaller 90Hz 6.5-inch 1080p Super AMOLED and 4,500mAh battery.

Last but not least is the Galaxy A32. Unlike its higher-end siblings, it does not have an IP67 rating, though it does still feature a 6.4-inch 1080p Super AMOLED screen with a 90Hz refresh rate. It also comes with a MediaTek Helio G80 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM, a quad camera system (64MP f/1.8 primary + 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide angle + 5MP f/2.4 depth + 5MP f/2.4 macro), a 20MP f/2.2 selfie camera, 128GB of expandable storage, and a 5,000mAh battery.

No word yet on the Malaysian availability of the Samsung Galaxy A72, Galaxy A52, and Galaxy A32, but we expect to hear more from Samsung Malaysia very, very soon.
