Aside from the unique Asus ZenBook Duo 14, Asus Malaysia also introduced two other productivity-focused convertible laptops: the Asus ZenBook Flip S, and the Asus ZenBook Flip 13 OLED. The best selling point of these two machines have to be their OLED screens, which isn’t a hardware you typically find on a mainstream laptop.
Let’s start with the more affordable laptop of the two, the ZenBook Flip 13 OLED. Two models of the laptop are available here in Malaysia: the Intel Core i5-1135G7 variant costs RM4,699, while the Core i7-1165G7 configuration goes for RM5,199. Basically, only the choice of processor differentiates the two models.
The fact that the ZenBook Flip 13 OLED comes with a 13.3-inch 1920 x 1080 OLED screen at this price point really is the main appeal of the laptop, and its other specifications are reasonably good too for a productivity machine. These include integrated Iris Xe graphics, 8GB of RAM, 512GB of SSD storage, and a 67Wh battery that promises up to 11 hours of battery life.
As for the ZenBook Flip S, it looks similar to the Flip 13 OLED, though it is positioned as a more premium product with a different colour scheme. The sole RM6,799 variant features a much sharper 13.3-inch 4K OLED screen, a Core i7-1165G7 processor paired with 16GB of RAM, 1TB of SSD storage, Iris Xe integrated graphics, and the same 67Wh battery as the Flip 13 OLED, but it has a longer quoted battery life of 15 hours instead.
The ZenBook Flip S
Both the Asus ZenBook Flip S and ZenBook Flip 13 OLED are now available for purchase in Malaysia. If you want a convertible laptop with an OLED screen, consider either one of these two products.
