Perodua Ativa Received Over 5,000 Bookings; 3,000 Units to Be Delivered Every Month
March 4, 2021 Andrew Cheng

Initially opened for booking just two weeks ago, the Perodua Ativa is proving to be a popular choice for Malaysians. According to Perodua, over 5,000 bookings have been made for its brand new SUV, and it won’t take too long for the Ativa to be delivered to eager customers either.

“We (Perodua) have so far received some 5,000 bookings for the Perodua Ativa since we began collecting orders on 19 February. We thank the public very much for their support. Deliveries will begin tomorrow (4 March), and we aim to deliver an average of 3,000 units a month,” said the CEO of Perodua, Dato’ Zainal Abidin Ahmad.

Priced from RM61,500 to RM72,000 – lower than the estimated pricing given by Perodua – the Ativa is packed with a number of attractive features. The range-topping AV model, for one, gets level 2 autonomous driving. It’s equipped with Lane Keep Control, Blind Spot Monitor, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Adaptive Cruise Control.

Aside from that, regardless of which variant you go for, all three models of the Ativa (AV, H, and X) are equipped with the same 1.0L turbocharged three-cylinder engine that outputs 98PS and 140Nm of torque. Paired with a CVT gearbox, the Ativa has an impressive rated fuel efficiency of 18.9km/l.

The Perodua Ativa is now available for viewing and test drive at all Perodua showrooms nationwide. Given that the carmaker aims to deliver 3,000 units of the SUV every month, you may not have to wait that long to get the Ativa, especially if you’ve placed your booking earlier.
