This is a big one: PlayStation just revealed the PlayStation Plus free games for the month of March 2021, which includes the much loved Final Fantasy VII Remake. It’s an exciting announcement, given that it hasn’t even been a year since the game was launched on the PlayStation 4.

Gamers with an active PlayStation Plus membership can claim Final Fantasy VII Remake from 2 March until 5 April. Just like any other free games offered to PlayStation Plus members, as long as you have an active subscription, the game will be yours to keep.

However, those who redeemed this version of Final Fantasy VII Remake as part of the PlayStation Plus benefit will not be eligible for the free upgrade to the PS5 version, which is releasing on 10 June 2021. Understandably, the complimentary upgrade to the improved PS5 version is only reserved for gamers that actually bought the game.

Anyway, joining Final Fantasy VII Remake as part of PlayStation Plus’ March 2021 free games include Knack 2, Farpoint (VR), as well as the PS5 version of Maquette.
