More and more gaming laptops powered by the latest hardware from Nvidia and AMD are making their way into Malaysia. This time around, it’s the big and powerful Lenovo Legion 5 Pro – a 16-inch gaming laptop that can be configured with a GeForce RTX 3070 GPU and a Ryzen 7 5800H processor.
We spotted the Legion 5 Pro in our routine search through SIRIM’s database; it was registered with the certification body just today on 19 January with the model numbers 16ACH6H and 16ACH6. Since the gaming laptop is in SIRIM’s database now, we reckon it’s only a matter of time before the Legion 5 Pro is officially launched on our shores.
As mentioned, the highest-end configuration of the Legion 5 Pro is equipped with the new RTX 3070 GPU and Ryzen 7 5800H processor. These are pretty darn beefy hardware, so without a doubt this gaming laptop will be able to run most (if not all) AAA games with high graphics settings quite effortlessly.
Further enhancing the gaming experience of the Legion 5 Pro is its large 16-inch 2560 x 1600 IPS screen with a fast 165Hz refresh rate. Yes, not only is this a high refresh rate display, it also has a 16:10 aspect ratio; quite an unconventional aspect ratio for a gaming laptop. Aside from that, it can also be configured with up to 16GB of RAM and 2TB of SSD storage.
At the moment, we haven’t heard from Lenovo yet on the Malaysian availability of the Lenovo Legion 5 Pro. But given that the gaming laptop is only set to be launched in selected markets sometime in March 2021, it’s safe to assume we’ll have to wait until then for the local launch to happen.
