Lenovo’s New ThinkPad X1 Titanium Yoga Is Only 11.5mm Thin; Slimmest ThinkPad Yet
January 13, 2021 Andrew Cheng

Lenovo just unveiled a number of new ThinkPad notebooks today, including the impressively thin ThinkPad X1 Titanium Yoga convertible laptop. Measuring only 11.5mm thin, this is the slimmest ThinkPad to date. On top of that, it also has a number of other interesting features.

As its name suggests, the ThinkPad X1 Titanium Yoga is said to be “covered in titanium material,” which suggests that it is not entirely made out of titanium. Nonetheless, its 11.5mm chassis is definitely one of the laptop’s best features, but since it is so thin, the X1 Titanium only features two USB-C ports and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Aside from that, the ThinkPad X1 Titanium Yoga also has a 13.5-inch 2256 x 1504 touch-enabled screen with a 3:2 aspect ratio; ideal for productivity-focused tasks. This being a business-class laptop, it is powered by Intel’s latest 11th generation vPro chips too; the options top out at a Core i7 processor.

Other specifications of the ThinkPad X1 Titanium Yoga include Intel Iris Xe integrated graphics, a 44.5WHr battery that promises up to 10.9 hours of use on a single charge – that’s pretty respectable – a 1.15kg chassis, up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of SSD storage, as well as optional 5G connectivity.

According to Lenovo, the ThinkPad X1 Titanium Yoga will be available for purchase sometime this month with a $1,899 starting price, which comes up to about RM7,700. At the moment, it remains to be seen exactly when the premium business-class laptop will arrive in Malaysia.
