More CES 2021 news are coming from various brands, including the new Lenovo IdeaPad 5 Pro. Touted as the most powerful IdeaPad laptop yet, the IdeaPad 5 Pro features next generation AMD Ryzen chips and Nvidia RTX GPUs – it’s really quite an exciting laptop that should be able to serve as a good productivity and gaming machine.

Of course, Lenovo did not disclose exactly what new Ryzen CPUs and RTX GPUs will be found under the hood of the IdeaPad 5 Pro. Chances are, these should be the upcoming mobile versions of the Ryzen 5000 CPU and RTX 3000 series GPU. We’ll have to wait for official announcements from AMD and Nvidia to be sure, which should be happening very soon.

Aside from that, there are also two variants of the IdeaPad 5 Pro. The 14-inch model with a 14-inch 2880 x 1800 IPS screen (90Hz) can be configured with an Nvidia MX450 GPU, while the bigger 16-inch version with a 16-inch 2560 x 1600 IPS display (120Hz) is the one packing next generation RTX GPUs. That’s right, both variants of the IdeaPad 5 Pro feature relatively fast screens with a productivity-focused 16:10 aspect ratio.

Naturally, the IdeaPad 5 Pro can be equipped with up to 16GB of RAM (32GB for the 16-inch model) and 1TB of SSD storage as well; large enough capacities for most users. Lenovo will also release an Intel version of this laptop, dubbed IdeaPad 5i Pro. Just like the AMD model, this Intel variant is offered with similar hardware in two sizes (14-inch and 16-inch), but with 11th generation Intel CPUs instead.

The Lenovo IdeaPad 5 Pro and IdeaPad 5i Pro will be available in EMEA markets sometime in March 2021, though the 16-inch model of the former will only be arriving in May 2021. The AMD models will start at €799 (approximately RM3,960), while the Intel machines retail from €699 (about RM3,465).
