Lenovo’s latest thin and light gaming laptop, the Lenovo Legion Slim 7i, is set to be available here in Malaysia very soon. Touted as the lightest 15-inch gaming laptop with an RTX graphics card, it’s an interesting option for those who want a portable gaming machine.
Of course, given its portable nature, the Legion Slim 7i is not an affordable product. At the moment, we only got details on one variant of the gaming laptop, which costs RM7,599. For that kind of money, you’re getting an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 Max-Q GPU with 6GB of GDDR6 memory, as well as an Intel Core i7-10750H processor.
Aside from that, this variant of the Legion Slim 7i also features a fast 15.6-inch 1920 x 1080 IPS screen with a 144Hz refresh rate, 16GB of RAM, a generous 1TB SSD, Windows 10 Home out of the box, and a 71WHr battery that promises up to 7.75 hours of battery life on a single charge. It’ll be interesting to see if it can really deliver this level of battery life.
As mentioned, the portability of the Legion Slim 7i is the highlight of this gaming laptop; after all, it’s touted as the world’s lightest 15-inch gaming laptop with an RTX GPU. It tips the scales at 1.86kg, and while this doesn’t sound particularly impressive, it is quite lightweight for a gaming machine of this calibre. It also has a 17.9mm thin chassis, making it one of the slimmest gaming laptops in the market.
We were told that the Lenovo Legion Slim 7i will be available for purchase in Malaysia sometime in early 2021. The gaming laptop will also be available for pre-order and customisation on Lenovo’s Malaysian online store sometime this month.
