2021 Honda HR-V Hybrid Finally Gets New, Lower Price Tag – RM114k, LED Lights

If you’ve been eyeing to get the 2021 Honda HR-V Hybrid, great news: Honda Malaysia finally gave the SUV an updated pricing with some upgrades here and there. Of course, given that it’s locally assembled (CKD) right here in Malaysia, it also receives 100% sales tax exemption.

Previously priced at RM120,800 when it was first launched in 2019, the HR-V Hybrid is now going for only RM113,954.82 – that’s with sales tax exemption applied until 31 December 2021. This puts it closer in price to the V model now (RM113,421.92) instead of the RS variant (RM118,581.81).

Aside from the new, lower price tag, the HR-V Hybrid gets some neat upgrades too. On the outside, it’s been updated with LED headlights, LED front fog lamps, LED taillights, as well as chrome door handles for a more upmarket look.

The interior of the HR-V Hybrid sees some changes too. These include a new three-spoke leather wrapped steering wheel, along with a 7-inch infotainment screen that now supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Beyond these additions, other aspects of the HR-V Hybrid are unchanged. It’s still powered by a 1.5L DOHC i-VTEC engine that does 132PS and 156Nm of torque. Paired with an electric motor (30PS and 160Nm) and a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, the HR-V Hybrid has a total output of 152PS and 190Nm of torque.

To recap, the 2021 Honda HR-V Hybrid is priced at RM113,954.82, and bookings can be done online here. Alternatively, you can also place a booking through Honda Malaysia’s HondaTouch app – you can download it from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
