Motorola Moto G9 Launched in India With Affordable Price Tag
August 26, 2020 Haziq

Motorola’s latest smartphone, the Moto G9, has just been launched in India. It features a modest set of hardware with a decidedly mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 chipset, and while that doesn’t sound particularly enticing, the phone does carry an affordable price tag.

As mentioned, the Moto G9 is powered by a Snapdragon 662 quad-core processor. While it’s not a particularly powerful chip, you can still expect a decent level of performance out of it. It’s also fabricated on an 11nm process, making it quite power-efficient. Complemented by the phone’s 5,000mAh battery, you should be able to get good battery life.

Onto the camera department, the Moto G9 has a triple camera setup on the back, which consists of a 48MP f/1.7 primary sensor, a 2MP f/2.4 macro lens, and a 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor. This is not the most sophisticated camera array, but it should do in a pinch, especially for a device at this price point.

Other specifications of the Moto G9 include a 6.5-inch 1600 x 720 notched display – which houses an 8MP f/2.2 front-facing camera, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of expandable storage, as well as a fingerprint sensor on the back of the phone. It’s also offered in two colour options: Forest Green and Sapphire Blue.

The Motorola Moto G9 is set to hit retail stores in India on 31 August for 11,499 Indian rupee (around RM645). It will be dubbed Moto G9 Play for the global market, though it remains to be seen if it will ever be made available here in Malaysia.
