Aside from the Asus ROG Zephyrus Duo 15 gaming powerhouse, the Taiwanese company also introduced a number of other ROG gaming laptops powered by Intel for the Malaysian market. These include the Zephyrus M15, the Zephyrus S15, and the largest product of today’s launch, the Zephyrus S17.
Let’s start with the biggest gaming laptop of the bunch, the Zephyrus S17. The base model – which retails at RM13,999 – features an Intel Core i7-10875H processor paired with 32GB of RAM, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 Super GPU, a 17.3-inch 1080p display with a blazing fast 300Hz screen (with G-Sync support), and 1TB of fast M.2 NVMe PCIe Gen3x4 SSD.
A tier up is the RM16,999 model of the Zephyrus S17. it has the same hardware as the aforementioned model, but it swaps out the RTX 2070 Super GPU for a beefier RTX 2080 Super Max-Q graphics card.
Next is the Zephyrus S15. Only one variant of the gaming laptop is available in Malaysia right now, which is priced at RM15,999. For that kind of money, you’re getting a Core i7-10875H processor paired with 32GB of RAM, an RTX 2080 Super Max-Q GPU, a 15.6-inch 1080p screen with a 300Hz refresh rate and support for G-Sync, as well as a two 512GB SSD in Raid 0 configuration.
If that price tag is a little too steep, there is actually a more affordable configuration of the Zephyrus S15 with an RTX 2070 Super. This model is expected to be coming to Malaysia soon, though the pricing for this particular variant has not been revealed yet.
Last but certainly not least is the most affordable Zephyrus gaming laptop launched today, the Zephyrus M15. The sole RM6,999 variant for the Malaysian market features a Core i7-10750H processor paired with 16GB of RAM, a GTX 1660 Ti GPU, a 15.6-inch 1920 x 1080 panel with a pretty fast 240Hz refresh rate, and 1TB of SSD storage.
It’s worth noting that all of the Zephyrus gaming laptops mentioned here feature a Pantone Validated screen, which promises good colour accuracy. On top of that, the processors are applied with Thermal Grizzly’s liquid metal compound as well. This supposedly lowers CPU temperatures by up to 12°C.
The Asus ROG Zephyrus S17, Zephyrus S15, and Zephyrus M15 are now available for purchase in Malaysia. These are unmistakably costly gaming laptops, but that’s how much you have to pay for a premium, slim gaming machine. After all, the Zephyrus series is Asus’ most premium offering.
