Unveiled to the world back in April, the unique Asus ROG Zephyrus Duo 15 is now available for pre-order in Malaysia. While the retail price of the gaming laptop has not been revealed by retailers yet, we’ve got confirmation from a trusted source: the dual screen gaming laptop retails at RM19,999 locally.
Of course, RM19,999 is a steep asking price, but the Zephyrus Duo 15 does come with some serious power under the hood. Two configurations of the gaming laptop will be offered in Malaysia with the same price tag; only the screen option differentiate them. One is offered with a fast 15.6-inch 300Hz panel, while the other one comes with a sharper 4K display with a standard 60Hz refresh rate.
Regardless of which variant you go for, both screens are Pantone Validated with support for Nvidia’s G-Sync technology.
Aside from the main display, there is also a secondary ScreenPad Plus screen right above the keyboard. It’s a 14.1-inch 3840 x 1100 touch-enabled panel, which can be used as an extension of the main display. It also props up at an angle when the lid is opened to give you better visibility of the screen.
Displays aside, under the hood of the Zephyrus Duo 15 are some very beefy hardware. Powering this gaming laptop is an overclockable Intel Core i9-10980HK processor paired with 32GB of RAM; plenty of processing power for all kinds of users. In the graphics department, it features an equally powerful RTX 2080 Super Max-Q GPU with 8GB of VRAM.
Given the premium price tag of the Zephyrus Duo 15, it also comes with two 1TB SSD drives for a combined storage of 2TB; you won’t have to worry about running out of storage space with this machine. Even with all of these powerful hardware, this is still quite a thin laptop, measuring only 20mm thin.
Also bundled with the Zephyrus Duo 15 are a few accessories for the Malaysian market. Every purchase of the premium gaming laptop comes with a backpack, an ROG Gladius mouse, as well as a pair of ROG Delta gaming headset.
The Asus ROG Zephyrus Duo 15 is expected to be officially launched in Malaysia sometime in August next month. To recap, the unique gaming laptop retails at RM19,999 here, and the configuration with a 4K screen will be available here very soon. The variant with a faster 1080p 300Hz panel, on the other hand, will only be offered here sometime in September.
