Realme Watch Lands in Malaysia for RM299; Early Birds Get RM50 Off
June 11, 2020 Andrew Cheng

Realme just launched a number of products today, including the Chinese company’s first-ever smartwatch, the Realme Watch. Sporting an affordable price tag, long battery life, and a number of other neat features, it’s quite an interesting wearable.

For the Malaysian market, the Realme Watch retails at RM299; a reasonably affordable price tag for a smartwatch. But if you purchase it through Shopee tomorrow on 12 June, you can grab it for only RM249. Of course, this RM50 discount is only available on that day itself on the e-commerce platform.

At a glance, the Realme Watch does seem to take some design cues from the Apple Watch, especially with its square form factor. It also features a 1.4-inch 320 x 320 touch-enabled display, which comes with 10 levels of brightness that peak at 380 nits. Overall, it’s a reasonably handsome smartwatch, though we do wish the bottom bezel was smaller.

Aside from that, the Realme Watch is quite a long-lasting smartwatch as well. According to the company, the Watch’s 160mAh battery offers up to nine days of use; seven days if the heart rate sensor is enabled. In power saving mode, Realme claims that the battery life can even be stretched to 20 days.

Getting notifications from your phone pushed to your wrist is one of the best reasons to invest in a smartwatch, and of course, the Realme Watch can do just that. The wearable supports notifications from apps such as WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, and Gmail, though it remains to be seen just how well it would mirror notifications from a paired phone.

Naturally, the Realme Watch is able to track a number of workouts. Realme says that the smartwatch can track 14 different activities, including badminton, yoga, basketball, strength training, and outdoor run. Throughout any of the workout, the Watch will also show your heart rate and time elapsed.

Other specifications of the Realme Watch include IP68 dust and water resistance, a heart rate sensor, the ability to measure your blood oxygen level, and 12 different watchfaces. That’s not a lot of options, so Realme promises that as many as 100 more watchfaces will be added in the future.

The Realme Watch will be available for purchase tomorrow on 12 June for RM299. As mentioned, you can grab it for only RM249 if you get the smartwatch on Shopee tomorrow right here.
