Black Shark just revealed the price of the Black Shark 3 Pro in Malaysia. Set to go on sale later tonight on Shopee, the flagship gaming smartphone retails at RM4,199 here. Those who place their order early will also get a number of freebies worth up to RM600.

For RM4,199, the Black Shark 3 Pro comes with 256GB of internal storage and 12GB of RAM; only this one variant is offered in Malaysia. That’s quite a steep price tag, and given that this gaming smartphone doesn’t have a microSD card, it would’ve been great if it came with more storage space.

Nonetheless, there’s no denying the fact that the Black Shark 3 Pro is a powerful gaming device. Under the hood of the phone is Qualcomm’s best chipset yet, the Snapdragon 865. Not only does it offer an excellent level of performance – you should be able to play any mobile games with no issue – it also comes with 5G connectivity.

Further enhancing the gaming experience of the Black Shark 3 Pro is the huge 7.1-inch 3120 x 1440 AMOLED screen. This being an AMOLED panel, it will offer deep blacks, vibrant colours, and great viewing angles. It’s also worth noting that this display has a 90Hz refresh rate, giving it superior motion clarity compared to conventional 60Hz panels.

Another important feature for any gaming smartphone is a responsive screen, and in the case of the Black Shark 3 Pro, its display supports 270Hz touch sampling rate. This improves the responsiveness of the panel, which reduces input lag to a minimum. Needless to say, this is an important feature for gamers.

What gives the Black Shark 3 Pro a unique appeal compared to other gaming smartphones in the market now are the two physical shoulder buttons on the right side of the phone. In normal use, the buttons are recessed, and only when you need to use it the buttons will actually pop-up. It’s really quite a unique feature.

Other specifications of the Black Shark 3 Pro include a triple camera system (64MP f/1.8 primary + 13MP f/2.3 ultra-wide angle + 5MP f/2.2 depth), a 20MP f/2.2 front-facing camera, a generous 5,000mAh battery with support for 65W fast charging, as well as an in-screen fingerprint sensor.

The Black Shark 3 Pro will be available for purchase later tonight at 12AM on Shopee for RM4,199. As mentioned, early birds will get a number of freebies when they purchase the gaming smartphone. For one, the first 10 buyers will receive a RM100 voucher from Shopee after placing the order; that’s quite a good deal.

On top of that, the first 80 buyers of the Black Shark 3 Pro on 4 June will also receive a Black Shark Gamepad (the left side), a one-year screen crack protection, and a mystery Black Shark merchandise. All of these items are worth RM600. As for those who purchase the gaming smartphone on 5 June, the first 70 buyers will receive the same items except for the gamepad, which is replaced with a Black Shark FunCooler instead.
