Oppo Find X2 Pro With 512GB Storage & 5G Retails at RM4,599 in Malaysia
March 10, 2020 Andrew Cheng

The Oppo Find X2 series has just been launched in Malaysia, and we finally know the local pricing of the two 5G smartphones in the lineup. The standard Find X2 retails at RM3,999, while the higher-end Find X2 Pro goes for RM4,599. While these are unmistakably steep price tags, you do get a lot for your money with these two devices.

Let’s start with the more exciting phone of the two, the Find X2 Pro. One of the most highlighted features of this flagship is its triple camera system, which is made up of a 48MP f/1.7 primary shooter, a 48MP f/2.2 ultra-wide angle sensor, and a 13MP f/3.0 telephoto lens with a periscope structure. Collectively, this camera configuration offers 10x “hybrid zoom,” with up to a whopping 60x digital zoom.

Besides that, it’s also worth noting that the Find X2 Pro’s camera performance earns it the top spot in DxOMark’s ranking for mobile devices. With an impressive total score of 124, this phone is in the same league as the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro, which shares the same score.

Beyond its camera setup, the Find X2 Pro also comes with a fast 120Hz 6.7-inch 1440p OLED screen with a hole-punch cutout at the top left of the screen for the 32MP f/2.4 selfie camera. What makes this display particularly attractive is the fact that it still supports 120Hz refresh rate even in 1440p; this is not possible with the Samsung Galaxy S20 series.

Rounding out the specifications of the Find X2 Pro include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset paired with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, an in-screen optical fingerprint sensor, 512GB of fast UFS 3.0 storage (not expandable, however), and a 4,260mAh battery with support for Oppo’s proprietary 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 fast charging technology.

As for the more affordable Find X2, it shares many of the Pro variant’s hardware, though it comes with a less sophisticated triple camera setup. It consists of a 48MP f/1.7 primary shooter, a 12MP f/2.2 ultra-wide angle sensor, and a 13MP f/2.4 telephoto lens. The battery capacity is also slightly smaller at 4,200mAh, with half the internal storage of the Pro at 256GB.

The Oppo Find X2 and Find X2 Pro are now available for pre-order in Malaysia. The regular Find X2 will be available on 14 March, while the Pro model is arriving later on 21 March. All pre-orders will receive a complimentary VOOC Powerbank, a one-year extended warranty, and 90 days of screen protection. In total, all of these are said to be worth RM528.

If you want to try your luck, you can also attend Oppo’s roadshow for the Find X2 series at Pavilion KL. The first 100 pre-order or walk-in customers will walk away with an Oppo Enco Free wireless earbuds, which are worth RM499. More information on the roadshow can be found here.
