Oppo just introduced its latest flagship smartphone, the Oppo Find X2 Pro. Sporting a fast 120Hz QHD+ display, 5G connectivity, and an impressive 65W charging rate, the Find X2 is quite a complete flagship device. In fact, it could very well be Oppo’s best premium smartphone yet.
What makes the Find X2 Pro such a compelling smartphone is the fast 120Hz display. Sure, even the Samsung Galaxy S20 smartphones‘ screens have this refresh rate, but what gives the X2 Pro an edge is the fact that the 120Hz option can be enabled even in QHD+ resolution. The S20 phones, on the other hand, can only be set to 120Hz at Full HD+ resolution.
As for the display itself, the Find X2 Pro has a 6.7-inch 3168 x 1440 OLED panel with a hole-punch cutout at the top left of the screen that houses the 32MP f/2.4 selfie camera. It’s a searingly bright panel too, with a peak brightness of up to 1,200 nits. The dual curved nature of the screen is also a nice design element.
Powering the Find X2 Pro is none other than Qualcomm’s best chipset yet, the Snapdragon 865. Without a doubt this SoC will be able to deliver excellent performance, and in combination with the X55 modem, this flagship smartphone supports 5G connectivity as well.
In the camera department, the Find X2 Pro is quite capable too, topping the DxOMark ranking with a total score of 124. It has a triple camera system made up of a 48MP f/1.7 primary shooter, a 48MP f/2.2 ultra-wide angle sensor, and a 13MP f/3.0 telephoto lens with a periscope structure.
Collectively, this triple camera configuration can do 10x hybrid zoom. If you want to push it even further, it can even do up to 60x digital zoom, though we can’t imagine the image output to be particularly great at that level of zoom. Nonetheless, it is a nice feature to have.
Other specifications of the Find X2 Pro include 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, 512GB of non-expandable storage, a 4,260mAh battery with support for 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 fast charging (the phone can supposedly be fully charged in only 38 minutes), an optical in-screen fingerprint sensor, and ColorOS 7.1 based on Android 10 out of the box.
The Oppo Find X2 Pro is certainly a promising flagship smartphone, and it’s set to arrive here in Malaysia as early as next week on 10 March. We don’t know yet how much it will cost locally, but we were told it will be priced quite competitively.
