Buy a Samsung Galaxy S20 & Get a Free 50″ 4K TV (Or RM400 Rebate)
March 2, 2020 Andrew Cheng

Samsung just launched the Galaxy S20 series in Malaysia, and as usual, the Korean company will be doing a roadshow for its latest flagship smartphones. This time around, early birds who purchase any of the Galaxy S20 smartphones will walk away with a brand new Samsung 50-inch 4K Smart TV (worth RM2,599) or RM400 rebate – pretty sweet deals.

Of course, there are some terms and conditions. For one, only 500 units of the 50-inch 4K TV is offered; the RM400 rebate are also limited to the first 500 redemptions. If you’re one of the early birds, you can choose either one of these two deals. Basically, the first 1,000 consumers will get either gifts, though we reckon most folks will go for the higher value 50-inch TV.

On top of that, the number of units available for these two gifts are allocated to each region differently. Here’s the breakdown:

  • Mid Valley Megamall, Kuala Lumpur: 220 units
  • Queensbay Mall, Penang: 120 units
  • Mid Valley Southkey, Johor: 80 units
  • East Coast Mall, Kuantan: 30 units
  • Imago Mall, Kota Kinabalu: 50 units

Also, do note that the RM400 rebate for the Galaxy S20 is treated like a trade in campaign: you’ll have to trade in “any electronic device with a camera function” to claim the RM400 rebate. It’s not quite as straightforward as the complimentary 50-inch 4K TV, but it’s still a reasonably good promotion.

Those that miss out on these two big-ticket items can still get some freebies for purchasing the Galaxy S20 at the roadshow. These include a Samsung Wireless Charger Pad and a 128GB microSD card. Not surprisingly, stocks are limited to the first 2,000 consumers for these items.

Naturally, these freebies are valid for all three devices in the Galaxy S20 series, including the standard Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and the biggest device of the bunch, the Galaxy S20 Ultra. Given that the free gifts are the same regardless of which phone you get, the S20 would offer the best value for money; it’s the most affordable device in the series, after all.
