Looking for a gaming monitor with a high refresh rate on a budget? Then consider Tech Armory’s brand new Commandos Spectrum series of monitors. Retailing from only RM499, these gaming-centric monitors will definitely appeal to budget-conscious gamers.

Currently, the Commandos Spectrum series are made up of two gaming monitors. The G2411FN is a 24-inch 1080p gaming monitor with a RM499 price tag, while the higher-end G2711CA sports a larger 27-inch 1920 x 1080 curved screen for only RM699. To top it off, both of these monitors feature a fast 165Hz refresh rate with support for adaptive sync.

Out of the two products, we reckon the G2711CA is the more exciting gaming monitor despite its slightly higher asking price. After all, it has a curved screen with a 1500R curvature for a more immersive gaming experience. The display itself is also a VA panel, which should offer good contrast ratio at the expense of slightly worse viewing angles compared to an IPS display.

As for the G2411FN, it’s a no-frills, affordable gaming monitor. But given its affordable price tag, do note that it only has a “Super TN” screen. Compared to the VA panel of the G2711CA monitor, the viewing angles of the G2411FN’s TN display won’t be quite as good. Keep this in mind if you’re thinking of going with this more affordable option.
