The Xiaomi Mi Watch Lite is landing in Malaysia very soon. We first spotted the smartwatch just last week on SIRIM, and we just got word from Xiaomi Malaysia that the wearable will be available locally from 20 December onwards for RM249 – a reasonably low price tag.

If you want an even better deal for the Mi Watch Lite, you can actually place a pre-order for the smartwatch tomorrow on 17 December from Xiaomi’s official store on Lazada. Instead of RM249, the wearable will be sold at only RM199, though we were told that limited quantities are available.

As far as looks go, the Mi Watch Lite is very similar to the Apple Watch; it even has a rectangular 1.4-inch 320 x 320 LCD screen. While it would’ve been great if it came with an OLED display instead, this is an affordable smartwatch. Some sacrifices had to be made to bring down the price of the wearable.

Other specifications of the Mi Watch Lite include a 230mAh battery that can deliver up to nine days of battery life, a heart rate sensor for activity and sleep monitoring, 11 workout modes, over 120 different watch faces – though only five are available out of the box – as well as a 5 ATM water resistance rating.

The Xiaomi Mi Watch Lite will be available for pre-order tomorrow in Malaysia through Lazada for only RM199 instead of RM249. If you want to check out the smartwatch at a physical outlet instead, you can do so from 20 December onwards.
