Don’t want to wait for months to get your hands on the exceedingly popular Proton X50? Then consider getting the B-segment SUV from Flux, a car subscription service. The company just added the Proton X50 to its list of available cars, and you only need to wait seven days to get the SUV instead of months.

According to Flux, it has both the Flagship and Premium variants of the X50 for subscription, but only the Premium model is available at the time of writing. Evidently, the Flagship model is the one everyone is going for. In fact, Flux even has a waitlist for the X50 if you don’t quite fancy the Premium model.

But if you do want the Premium X50, Flux is offering it – a brand new unit, to boot – for RM1,969.48 per month (with 6% service fee included and 1,250km monthly mileage) on a 36-month contract; you will need to pay an upfront fee of RM3,009 as well. While that’s quite a large sum of money, you won’t need to worry about insurance, road tax, maintenance, or wear and tear with Flux. All of these are included in the monthly cost.

If you want to outright purchase the Premium X50 after your subscription ends, you can actually do so with Flux’s “Subscribe to Own” feature. For the 36-month contract, you will need to pay RM68,000 to own the car. On top of that, Flux also allows you to swap cars if you don’t like the X50 during your subscription period.
