We’ve been using the Dell G5 15 for about a month now, and overall, it’s a decent gaming laptop with strong gaming performance and relatively long battery life. However, despite its positioning as a value-oriented product, it doesn’t offer particularly good value for money; it’s rather lacklustre in a number of areas too.
For this review, we tested the G5 15 with an Intel Core i7-10750H processor paired with 16GB of RAM, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 GPU, 512GB of SSD storage, as well as a 15.6-inch 1920 x 1080 VA screen with a 144Hz refresh rate. Overall, a decent list of hardware, so you can definitely game quite effectively with this machine.
But a good gaming laptop isn’t entirely defined by just raw performance, and unfortunately enough, the Dell G5 15 doesn’t impress quite as much in other areas. Watch our review video above to find out why.
