Officially introduced just last month, the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Carbon is now available for purchase in Malaysia. What makes this productivity-focused laptop particularly interesting is its lightweight nature: it weighs merely 966g, making it one of the lightest laptops in the market now.
Oddly enough, although we were told last month the Yoga Slim 7i Carbon will retail from RM4,399 here, this doesn’t seem to be the case. At least, that’s what the listing on the company’s online store is suggesting. The most affordable variant with an Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor costs RM4,629, while the higher-end configuration with a Core i7-1165G7 chip goes for RM5,159.
Beyond the different processor, both variants of the Yoga Slim 7i Carbon have identical hardware. These include an Intel Iris Xe integrated GPU, 8GB of RAM, 512GB of SSD storage, and a 50WHr battery that promises up to 15 hours of use on a single charge. On top of that, this laptop is also pre-installed with Microsoft Home & Student 2019.
Another interesting hardware of the Yoga Slim 7i Carbon has to be its 13.3-inch 2560 x 1600 IPS non-touch screen. Not only does it cover 100% of the sRGB colour space, it is also has a 16:10 aspect ratio. Compared to a more conventional (and narrower) 16:9 display, you get more vertical space with this laptop’s screen, which is ideal for productivity tasks.
The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Carbon is now available for purchase on Lenovo’s Malaysian online store. To recap, the base Core i5 model retails at RM4,629, while the Core i7 variant costs RM5,159.
