A number of laptops powered by Intel’s latest 11th generation processors are slowly making their way into Malaysia, and the latest one to arrive here is the HP Envy 13. Sporting a rather sleek-looking design with a dedicated GPU and Microsoft Office pre-installed, it’s quite an interesting productivity laptop.
We spotted the Malaysian availability of the new Envy 13 from renowned retailer Tech Hypermart. Two variants of the laptop are offered in Malaysia: the base model with a Core i5-1135G7 processor paired with 8GB of RAM retails at RM4,499, while the higher-end Core i7-1165G7 configuration with 16GB of RAM costs RM5,499.
Basically, you’re paying RM1,000 extra to get the Envy 13 with a more powerful processor and double the RAM. As mentioned, this laptop also comes with Microsoft Office Home & Student 2019 pre-installed, which makes it ideal for folks who need access to the software for productivity tasks.
Other specifications of the Envy 13 include a 13.3-inch 1920 x 1080 IPS screen, an Nvidia GeForce MX450 dedicated GPU, 512GB of SSD storage, as well as a 51WHr battery that can be charged up to 50% in 30 minutes. Weighing 1.3kg with a 16.9mm chassis, it’s quite a portable laptop too.
The HP Envy 13 is currently available for purchase in Malaysia. To recap, the Core i5 model goes for RM4,499, while the Core i7 configuration retails at RM5,499.
