Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 4G Lands in Malaysia 11 November for RM2,699
October 30, 2020 Andrew Cheng

If you’ve been waiting for the 4G variant of the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE to be available in Malaysia, good news: the more affordable model is set to arrive on our shores next month on 11 November. Set to retail at RM2,699 locally, the S20 FE costs RM700 less than the 5G variant – that’s quite a bit of savings.

Of course, there is one notable hardware difference between the Galaxy S20 FE 4G and its 5G counterpart. Instead of the latter’s Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset, the 4G model is powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 990 SoC. While it may not sound quite as impressive as the Snapdragon 865, you are saving RM700 here. Plus, you should be getting about the same level of performance with both chips.

Aside from that, S20 FE 4G also comes with a smaller storage capacity. While the 5G variant of the phone features 256GB of internal storage, this 4G model only offers 128GB of storage. Thankfully, you can use a microSD card to get more storage space.

Beyond the different chipset and storage capacity, the Galaxy S20 FE 4G is identical to the 5G model in other aspects. It still has 8GB of RAM, a 6.5-inch 2400 x 1080 Super AMOLED display with a fast 120Hz refresh rate, a triple camera system (12MP f/1.8 primary + 12MP f/2.2 ultra-wide angle + 8MP f/2.4 telephoto), a 32MP f/2.2 selfie camera, a 4,500mAh battery, as well as an IP68 rating.

The Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 4G is set to arrive in Malaysia next month on 11 November. Retailing at RM2,699, it is one of Samsung’s most affordable flagship-tier smartphones in Malaysia.
