Acer just introduced the Acer Swift 3X at its Next@Acer launch event. As the name suggests, this laptop isn’t quite like the regular Swift 3. What makes it particularly unique is the GPU under its hood: the Swift 3X features Intel’s yet to be announced Iris Xe Max dedicated GPU.
That’s right, a brand new dedicated GPU from Intel in a laptop. While this is quite exciting, the performance level of the Iris Xe Max GPU has not been revealed yet, so we’ll have to wait until the Swift 3X is available for review to really find out. On a more positive note, we were told that the laptop will be arriving in Malaysia very soon.
Aside from the GPU, the Swift 3X is naturally powered by Intel’s latest 11th generation Core processors, and it can be paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of SSD storage. On top of that, the Taiwanese company also mentioned that the new laptop weighs just 1.37kg; lightweight enough for folks who are always on the go.
Aside from that, the Swift 3X offers a 14-inch 1920 x 1080 IPS screen as well with an 84% screen-to-body ratio. Not exactly the best figure we’ve seen on a laptop, but definitely good enough to give the Swift 3X a modern-looking design. Acer also said that this laptop can provide up to 17.5 hours of battery life on a single charge.
As mentioned, the Acer Swift 3X is expected to arrive here in Malaysia very soon. No word yet on exactly how much it will cost locally, though it does retail from $900 in the US, which comes up to about RM3,735.
