October 12, 2020 Andrew Cheng

Lenovo just introduced a new productivity laptop, the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Carbon. As its name suggests, this is a slim, lightweight laptop. Not only does it measure 14.25mm thin, it also weighs merely 966g. Needless to say, it’s a very lightweight laptop that’s ideal for those who are always on the go.

Despite its lightweight chassis, Lenovo says that the Yoga Slim 7i Carbon is still a durable machine. The laptop’s cover is constructed with “layers of carbon fibre and second generation ‘Web-Core 2.0 Carbon Fibre’ that reduces material weight by up to 40% while increasing durability,” as the company puts it.

Besides that, the Yoga Slim 7i Carbon also features a 13.3-inch 2560 x 1600 QHD screen with very slim bezels, giving the laptop a sleek, modern-looking aesthetic. On top of that, it also covers 100% of the sRGB colour space, and the 16:10 aspect ratio makes it ideal for productivity tasks.

Other specifications of the Yoga Slim 7i Carbon include Intel’s latest 11th generation Core i7-1165G7 or Core i5-1135G7 processor paired with up to 16GB of RAM, integrated Intel Iris Xe Graphics, three SSD storage options (256GB, 512GB, or 1TB), and Windows 10 Home out of the box.

The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Carbon will retail from RM4,399 in Malaysia, though the company mentioned that the productivity laptop will only be arriving here “at a later date.” Rest assured, we will keep a close eye on the local availability of the Yoga Slim 7i Carbon.
