Initially launched earlier this month, the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 series is set to arrive in Malaysia very, very soon. The Mi Note 10 is basically the global variant of the Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro, and both devices in the lineup are coming here, which include the standard Mi Note 10 and Mi Note 10 Pro.
Xiaomi Malaysia itself confirmed the local launch of the Mi Note 10 series on its Facebook page. It’s a simple teaser, prompting consumers to “stay tuned on 3rd December.” Chances are, Xiaomi will launch the device then, though we haven’t received any official invite yet.
Besides that, Xiaomi Malaysia is also running a rather interesting contest for the Mi Note 10. You’ll just need to make your way to Pavilion KL in Bukit Bintang, and take a selfie with the Mi Note 10 billboard. Once you’ve done so, just upload your selfie to Facebook with the appropriate hashtags to be in the running to win a Mi Note 10.
Of course, you’ll have to set the privacy setting of the post to Public to participate in the contest. On top of that, two winners will be selected to walk away with the new Mi Note 10, though Xiaomi Malaysia didn’t elaborate on the selection criteria. Oh, this contest will also end on 6 December, so make sure to post your selfie before that date.
As for the Mi Note 10 itself, it’s a mid-range smartphone with an impressive penta camera system with a 108MP f/1.69 main sensor. The camera configuration also features two telephoto lenses: a 12MP f/2.0 telephoto sensor (50mm), and a longer 8MP f/2.0 telephoto camera (94mm).
Thanks to the combination of the two telephoto sensors, the Mi Note 10 can do 10x hybrid zoom or 50x digital zoom, which is really quite impressive. The other two camera sensors, on the other hand, are a 20MP f/2.2 ultra-wide angle shooter and a f/2.4 macro lens.
Rounding out the specifications of the Mi Note 10 include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G chipset paired with 6GB of RAM, a 6.47-inch 1080p dual curved AMOLED notched screen, a very generous 5,260mAh battery, a 32MP f/2.0 selfie camera, 128GB of non-expandable storage, and an in-screen fingerprint sensor.
What about the Mi Note 10 Pro? Well, it’s virtually identical to the standard edition, but it has double the internal storage at 256GB, 8GB of RAM, and the 108MP primary camera is packed with an 8P lens.
The Xiaomi Mi Note 10 series is expected to be launched in Malaysia next month on 3 December. Given the sophisticated camera system, expect these two smartphones to cost slightly more than other Xiaomi devices, even if they are mid-rangers.
