Samsung Introduces Star Wars-Inspired Galaxy Note 10+ with Striking Red Accents

Samsung often give its flagship smartphones the special edition treatment over the course of their respective life cycles, and the latest device to get a fresh coat of paint is the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+. This time around, it’s a collaboration with Star Wars, and the result is one mean-looking smartphone.

Dubbed Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ Star Wars Special Edition, this unique device is released to celebrate the upcoming release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Naturally, the special edition Note 10+ has a number of Star Wars-inspired aesthetics; more specifically, Kylo Ren.

On the back of this Galaxy Note 10+, for one, is the First Order emblem imprinted right in the middle of the phone. There’s also the familiar Star Wars logo right below that, along with red accents around the camera lens and buttons of the device. Oh, even the S Pen is painted in striking red – almost like a lightsaber, in fact.

Interestingly, Samsung is also bundling matching Galaxy Buds with the Star Wars-themed Galaxy Note 10+. While the Buds are no different from the normal black model, the inner part of the casing is red. Other items packaged together with the phone include an embossed leather case, a metal badge as a collector’s item, as well as special Star Wars wallpapers, shutdown animations, icons, and sounds.

Beyond these changes, this special edition Galaxy Note 10+ is no different from its regular counterpart. It still comes with a 6.8-inch 3040 x 1440 Dynamic AMOLED display – with a hole-punch cutout at the top of the screen – a Samsung Exynos 9825 octa-core chipset paired with 12GB of RAM, up to 512GB of expandable storage, and a 4,300mAh battery.

Of course, even the camera configuration is the same. On the back, the triple camera system is made up of a 12MP f/1.5 – f/2.4 main shooter, a 16MP f/2.2 ultra-wide angle camera, a 12MP f/2.1 telephoto lens, and a VGA DepthVision ToF sensor. As for the selfie camera, it’s a 10MP f/2.2 shooter.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ Star Wars Special Edition will be available in selected markets like US, UK, Korea, Australia and Hong Kong from 10 December onwards; no word yet on the Malaysian availability of this smartphone. Pricing wise, this Star Wars-inspired Note 10+ retails at $1,300 in the US, which comes up to about RM5,405.
