Yoodo Customers Will Be Ported to CelcomDigi Prepaid 5G Plan After 29 August
June 14, 2024 Andrew Cheng

Yoodo previously announced that it will be discontinuing the brand come 29 August, and the telco just shared more details on what will happen to existing customers after that date. Not surprisingly, those who are still on Yoodo after 29 August will be ported to the CelcomDigi Prepaid 5G plan, which starts at RM25/month.

On top of that, several functions on the Yoodo app will not be available from 19 June onwards. These include new SIM order and activation – except for replacement SIM – account registration, friends invite, and customised validity extension. Of course, Yoodo customers can still continue to enjoy “existing services without any interruptions,” as the telco puts it.

Previously, the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) stated that Yoodo has to be divested within 18 months after the merger’s completion. That is why come 29 August the brand has to be discontinued, unfortunately enough.

More details on Yoodo’s discontinuation on 29 August can be found here, including how to request for a refund for those who have balance in their Yoodo credits. Alternatively, Yoodo customers can also get in touch with Yoodo’s care support team through WhatsApp at +6011-5622 2222 or the live chat feature on its website.
